Look With Eyes Shut
An exhibition exploring the relationship between typography and light.
Look With Eyes Shut was a week-long, collaborative exhibition at MICA's Brown Center. Being in an academic setting, where students get little sleep, the goal of this exhibition was to remind students to sleep, and further, of the creativity that occurs while sleeping through our dreams. The type was constructed using pieces of red and purple cellophane, taped to glass walls on two separate floors of the Brown Center. In the hallways, the words read backwards, but when the sun hit the glass, the type was reflected onto the opposite wall to be read correctly, while warming up the environment with a stained-glass effect.
