Achatz: Redefining Taste
A book design about Grant Achatz—a chef who can't taste.
The book is about his journey in the culinary world and his battle with oral cancer, which caused him to lose his sense of taste. The book explores the chef's tenacity as he continued to run one of the top restaurants in Chicago while not being able to taste his own food. Achatz explored different ways to experience his food by utilizing more than just a sense of taste. His methods of innovation shine through in the design of the book by exploring ways in which typography can relate to image.
